One more exam done. One big one left in my major. In two weeks.
Not happy with this exam, draw a blank on one topic, but still managed an average grade. Just this will not change the final grade in this field. Oh well, two weeks left to excel in my last exam... gambatte!

New exam date,
Since I was sick when I should have take my last exam, I had to reschedule. My new appointment for my examination is the 7th of July, 6pm. Two weeks before my last oral examination in my major, which going to be twice as much to study... and it is really nice weather outside. I guess I should find a basement to hide inside where I can study without being depressed about being glued to a computer...

Moving on...
Well, enough about my exam. What is done is done.
Now there are more exciting things coming up. Before I can start my final thesis, I still have to do a small one and in order to do so, I will be working for the next three months with Bosch.

Argl...
My exam is in one hour, still reviewing the materials in the computer pool. Needed to go to the toilet and since I am the only one in the room, I left all my stuff inside. Including my key and IDcard to open to the door.
Murphy, I damn you. No more today or only after 1pm.
(Writing this after being back in the computer pool.)

Next exam...
Got my appointment for following exam after the one on Wednesday: June 20th in Munich.
Yes, I will probably take my exam in Munich because the professor is changing to that university and all his local appointments are booked out till September. I do not want to wait that long and since it is rather a privilege to examine a student, the usual concept of supply and demand does not work.
Hmm.. unless I start taking up appointments for exams and sell them to willing students. (Of course I am not that evil.)
Next step: Trying to get reimbursed for transportation and accommodation for that exam. I love to create trouble / to find unconventional solutions to bureaucratic problems. And I thought the tuition fees should improve the situation here. So far, more bureaucracy, more softskill-courses, but hardly anything substantial.

Venting
Waking up to see that it has snowed overnight (oh well, Aprilweather) and that the sun was shining brightly. But with my exam coming up, I'd be staring at my papers and my screen anyway all day long.
But oh wait... forgot to change my shift, luckily my calender went ding and reminded me. And I was actually busy so no time to study. And now I am home and the internet is down.
Hope Murphy is using up all his energy before my exam starts...

Stressed
Sigh, 3 days to my next exam and already now I am too anxious to be able to focus on studying for it. Guess I better have Murphy on my side later on...

My exam
This morning, I had my first important examination that is part of my graduation requirements. Besides needing to write a small thesis and a final thesis to graduate, I am being examined in courses worth 40hrs of instruction per week. These examinations cover at least content worth being taught 6 hours per week in a semester and last at least 30min. These 30min one has to spend answering the questions of the professor while an assistant is writing the protocol. 30min of testing how much you know and how good it is. Yes, it is an oral exam. 1 on 1.
I was so nervous this morning, that I could not sleep, not eat nor really focus. yes, I am afraid of oral examinations. But once inside the office and getting started, it all got better and I passed quite well.
But I was also expecting some questions about more difficult processes, like JPEG or MPEG compression (which I spent hours to understand). Instead, I did not know how to correcty determine edges in videopictures. So I could have done better. But still ok lah. Especially considering that I only spent 3 days of intensive studying for it.
